Muhammed Seven

Muhammad Seven is a blue collar Americana singer-songwriter hailing from Boston, MA and currently living in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The son of an Iranian immigrant father and French-Canadian mother, he and his music were born in the fallout of the '79 Islamic Revolution and the Regan/Bush era, and draw influences from '60s protest music, '70s rock and roll, '80s pop, '90s hip hop and 20th century folk.

Strange Heavy & Freight

Strange Heavy plays original moody folk and sultry rock. Based in Ithaca, NY, they broke onto the scene in late 2018 after several years of playing well with others as the duo of McKenzie and Galen, their lineup expanding in 2021 when Tony and Corbin joined to round out their rock band. They like hikes and cold drinks and dancing and adult cartoons and each other. They don't like capitalism or alarm clocks. Comprised of groovy cello, guitar, banjo, bass, and drums backing bluesy vocals, Strange Heavy are happy to bring a hot, haunting vibe to an ear near you.

Liam Lawson

Liam Lawson is a guitarist and music educator based in Ithaca, NY. A seasoned songwriter, he works in the “story song” tradition of artists like Woody Guthrie and Gordon Lightfoot. Many of his tunes retell actual historical events. Other tunes express the spirit of the times with lyrics that are honest and hopeful. As a guitarist, Liam is a fingerstylist in the tradition of Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. His style also borrows from jazzers like Joe Pass and Lenny Breau. Liam's live performances always include a few instrumental pieces - music for its own sake, showcasing his studied technique and deep knowledge of the fretboard. Liam is also an amateur music historian and folklorist. One of his passions is arranging forgotten songs. His repertoire explores the diversity of traditional American music, including Shaker hymns, Appalachian fiddle tunes, and the Piedmont blues.

Surf Renegades

Surf Renegades is a unique, crowd-pleasing band. Within a two-to-three hour performance you will hear a wide variety of vocal and instrumental music in the style of Surf, Pop, Spy, Twang, Noir, Spanish, Western, TV and Movie Theme Songs, and Originals.  There is very little time between our songs (probably around 30 seconds). Our songs are usually no more than three minutes in length and there are never any extended jams.

In the vein of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Roots Rock, Blues, and Americana; the band has received comparisons to artists such as Tom Petty, The Black Keys, and Alabama Shakes, while bringing a renewed energy to their own bluesy, hook-filled, vintage influenced sound. “The sound transcends what we think of as a typical rock outfit”, says EarToTheGroundMusic.com.  The bands sound revolves around the songwriting structure of River's songs;  a singer-songwriter with a rock solid band.  Although influenced by music from the fifties, sixties, and seventies, River avoids simply being a replication of the past and instead has set out to create an identity all his own.
